Emperor Shōkō

Genealogy His personal name was Mihito (initially written as 躬仁, and later written as 実仁). 1418 ( Ōei 25 ): Ashikaga Yoshimochi ordered Asama Shrine , at the base of Mount Fuji in Suruga province , to be re-built. March 17, 1425 ( Ōei 32, on the 27th day of the 2nd month ): Shōgun Yoshikatsu died at the age of 19 years, having administered the empire for only three years. Kugyō Kugyō (公卿) is a collective term for the very few most powerful men attached to the court of the Emperor of Japan in pre- Meiji eras.

During Emperor Shōkō's reign, John I of Portugal ruled Portugal, Ashikaga Yoshimochi ruled Japan (Shogunate), and Henry V of England ruled England.
